Providing opportunities to realise the potential in ourselves and others
Rangiwahia Hut, Ruahine Forest Park
9 - 11 February 2017
My first independent “solo” trip into the wilderness in 12 or so years. There is something special about heading into the bush by “yourself”. I was accompanied by Assistance Dogs NZ Ben, who carried a good swag of gear; having him enabled me to do this trip. I’m looking forward to many more!
Ready to go
Remember where you came from
Fern frond just peeking out
Loving the forest
The Iconic Rangiwahia Bridge
Made it! So worth the view
I was happier than I look!
Loos with a view
Sleepy ADNZ Ben, its too early for him.
Panorama from the high point near Rangi Hut (on the right)
Hanging at the hut with ADNZ Ben
The cloud rolled in
Sunset just starting
So privileged to spend this time by myself
Good day for the walk out
Thanks to the random stranger for taking this
Thanks to a busy track we got a bridge shot!
Finshed!! Amazing trip, and so good to “go solo” again!
